Fontana del Moro (above)

Gian Lorenzo Bernini was an artist and a sculptor. He sculpted the Piazza Navona fountains. He also carried out the project of the Fontana di Trevi, or the Trevi Fountain. Bernini also made other fountains. He made the La Barcaccia in the Piazza di Spagna, Il Tritone in Piazza Barberini, and the Fontana dei Fiumi in Piazza Navona. He was a big influence on fountains in the renaissance period. A good place to see some great fountains in the Piazza Navona square in Rome. There are 3 fountains on this square. The three fountains are the Fontana del Moro, Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, and Fontana del Nettuno. The Fontana del Moro is in the picture above. These fountains are a great part of all the foutains from the renaissance period.

The fountains in the renaissance time were very complex and beautiful. They were built by some very intelligent people of the Renaissance. Fountians were a part of all the arts and education during the Renaissance period. These fountains were usually located in the cities. They were filled with beauty and hard work and planning. The fountains were a great part of the renaissance period. The Trevi Fountain (below) is a fountain located in the city of Rome, Italy. It is probably the most famous of all the Roman fountains. This fountain shows a chariot with the sea god in it. People throw coins in this fountain to make sure they return to Rome. This fountain is an example of the greatness of the Renaissance fountains.
