Gian Lorenzo Bernini was an artist and a sculptor. He sculpted the Piazza Navona fountains. He also carried out the project of the Fontana di Trevi, or the Trevi Fountain. Bernini also made other fountains. He made the La Barcaccia in the Piazza di Spagna, Il Tritone in Piazza Barberini, and the Fontana dei Fiumi in Piazza Navona. He was a big influence on fountains in the renaissance period. A good place to see some great fountains in the Piazza Navona square in Rome. There are 3 fountains on this square. The three fountains are the Fontana del Moro, Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, and Fontana del Nettuno. The Fontana del Moro is in the picture above.
